VIRGINIA CREEPER
The Virginia Creeper is an old train route that's been transformed into a beautiful biking-hiking trail. With 34 miles stretching between White Mountain Top to the town of Abingdon, VA riders and hikers traverse a vast terrain with various places to stop for rests, views, or further exploration.
ABINGDON, VA
From the cabin, head left on the Virginia Creeper trail for eight miles to the quaint town of Abingdon, VA. Abingdon offers a variety of options for shopping, eating, and exploring.
ABINGDON VINEYARD
Located a half mile from Riverwalk Cabin, Abingdon Winery is a great picnic spot. Sit at one of the many picnic tables on the hill overlooking the Watauga River or choose one across the creek for a relaxing time. This is a family friendly environment with live music on the weekends.
DAMASCUS, VA
Head out eight miles to the right from the cabin and you'll find yourself in the small town of Damascus, VA where the Appalachian Trail converges on Main St. Outfitters await to take bikers to the top of the mountain to ride down the Virginia Creeper.
